Most seaview dining in Koh Phangan happens at sea level — on the sand, at a bar with a grill. Secret Mountain is a seaview restaurant of a different kind: 150 metres up, where you get an ocean view of a different order — not a slice of water past a palm but the whole west coast at once. Jungle canopy falling away, the curve of the shoreline, and the Gulf of Thailand running out to the horizon behind it.

Vegan Restaurant in Koh Phangan
17 of our 26 dishes are entirely plant-based, and so is every dessert — no eggs, no dairy, and no land meat anywhere on the menu. Each one is vegan by design rather than by substitution.
There are no commercial meat analogues here. The protein comes from pulses, mushrooms, nuts and vegetables cooked with real technique, which is what separates a vegan restaurant from a restaurant with a vegan option. Koh Phangan Seafood Restaurant
Every piece of fish is wild-caught and landed by local boats — no farmed shrimp, no cage-raised fish. The menu moves with what comes in, which is why it changes through the season. Ceviche and carpaccio are cut to order from whitefish landed the same day, and the calamari and shrimp are hand-breaded in the kitchen.

Plant-Based Desserts, Made In-House
Every dessert is made here and every one is plant-based: a crème brûlée with a twist of passion fruit tapioca, coconut panna cotta with house-made pineapple sauce, biscuit cake with coconut vanilla cream, and an affogato poured over vanilla bean oat milk ice cream sweetened with dates. Which means one table works for a group that eats differently — vegans, pescatarians and everyone in between, ordering from the same menu. We are adults only, 21 and over, open every day from midday until 21:00.

Secret Mountain, in brief
Secret Mountain is a hilltop seaview restaurant on Koh Phangan, in southern Thailand, set above the jungle between Ban Tai and Thong Sala. The terrace opens onto the whole west coast — canopy, coastline and the Gulf of Thailand running out to the horizon.
Of 26 dishes, 17 are entirely plant-based and 9 are wild-caught seafood. There are no eggs, no dairy and no land meat anywhere on the menu, and every dessert is plant-based too. Dishes run THB 150–520, which puts a two-course dinner around 500–800฿ before drinks.
It is an adults-only restaurant, for guests aged 21 and over, and the policy is applied at the door. That is the main reason it stays quiet at sunset. There is an unhurried pace, and the venue closes at 21:00 — it is a sunset dinner rather than a late one.
We are open daily, 12:00 – 21:00, seven days a week. Booking is recommended for the sunset window between 17:00 and 18:30, particularly from November to March. The final approach is a steep hill road; a taxi is the easy answer if you would rather not ride it.
